Psychotherapy
You don’t have to figure it out alone.
Most of the people I work with are used to handling things on their own.
They’re the ones who make the plans, solve the problems, keep going when things get hard, and rarely ask for help until they’ve hit a wall.
Maybe you’re the new mom who thought she’d be fine, but now finds herself googling every little thing and wondering if she’s already doing it wrong.
Maybe you’re constantly replaying conversations in your head, worrying about things that haven’t happened yet, or feeling like you’re carrying more than everyone realizes.
Maybe everything looks fine from the outside, but something feels off.
You can tell you’re not quite yourself anymore. You just can’t always explain why.
That’s usually where we start.
We talk. We try to make sense of what’s happening. Sometimes there are lightbulb moments. Sometimes things feel uncomfortable before they feel clearer. Sometimes we laugh.
Therapy doesn’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to show up with the right words or a clear explanation for what you’re feeling.
You just have to start where you are.
**** How I Work ****
I believe therapy works best when it feels genuine.
My role isn’t to tell you who you are or what you should do. It’s to help you understand yourself more clearly, notice patterns that may no longer be serving you, and create space for change.
I work from a trauma-informed perspective and draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT, EFT, IFS, mindfulness-based therapies, and the Gottman Method for couples (see the Approaches page for definitions).
Every person is different, so therapy is always tailored to your needs rather than following a rigid formula.
